MHR's Tamira
Foaled June 16, 2005 - tri-color
![]()
Our big girl with the big heart ! We are happy to have found this sweet and rare beauty. As demand for this breed is increasing it has also become harder to locate taller gypsy vanners. Both of her parents are almost 16 hands tall (see pictures below) so we are expecting for Tamira to mature to at least around the same height. At 19 months she already stands 15.1 hands tall. Tamira has won an award for "best in breed" in 2005 in Germany as a weanling out of 8 other competing gypsy weanlings. Her grandsire is no other than "Sligo" who was well known in Germany (more pictures of stallions from Germany click here) and has recently been imported to the U.S. Her granddam is "Gwen" a blagdon mare and producer of show winning offspring.
We believe that with Tamira's conformation she is also a dressage prospect and certainly a great broodmare prospect for breeding taller Gypsy Vanner horses.
Tamira at the age of 8 months. It had been raining for days, please excuse the muddy legs.
This picture shows her
great conformation and her irresistible cute face.

Tamira at 2 months

1st place at a Gypsy Vanner competition event in Germany
All the ribbons that are handed out by this association are green and white, with different medals.
A couple of pictures of Tamira when she was just a few days old with her beautiful, long maned dam "Bonny"

Pictures of Tamira's sire "Spooky", it's a funny name but he he is everything else but a spooky horse more like a dog as you can see.

Tamira's grandsire "Sligo"
